It’s International Tongue Twister Day (and no, that doesn’t mean you twist your own tongue) and that means it’s the day to look up some tongue twisters and try to say them 10 times fast.
Tongue twisters are usually a pretty difficult thing to get used to since the purpose of them is to literally twist your tongue but today would be the day to practice.
Some simple tongue-twister examples:
How can a clam cram in a clean cream can?
I saw a kitten eating chicken in the kitchen
I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream
Some difficult tongue-twister examples:
How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
He would chuck, he would, as much as he could, and chuck as much wood
As a woodchuck would if a woodchuck could chuck wood
Betty Botter bought some butter
But she said the butter’s bitter
If I put it in my batter, it will make my batter bitter
But a bit of better butter will make my batter better
So ‘twas better Betty Botter bought a bit of better butter
Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers
A peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked
If Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers
Where’s the peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked?
Happy International Tongue Twister Day!
