Creative Themes for a Spooktastic Celebration!

Halloween is one of the great holidays not just because of the candy, but because of the freedom to decorate how you want as long as it goes with the theme of Halloween.

Decorating is so much fun, and if you want to have a Halloween party with a creative theme – or just to decorate – I got some ideas for you!

Cemetery Apartment

Abandoned apartment theme with the backyard or front yard – or even balcony – being the cemetery where other undead tenants stay.

* If having a Halloween party – or just having a few friends/family over – you could have a costume theme such as undead tenants which are like zombies but dressed more like a tenant (this could be a fancy tenant with a suit or a chill tenant with more casual clothing – your choice!).

* Have food and snacks inspired by apartments such as the landlord special – which could be anything really!

* Decorations could include wallpaper falling off the walls, and fake blood painted on the sides of the electric sockets – just on the sides since you don’t want anything getting in the sockets.

* There could be a cemetery in the front yard, back yard, or balcony depending on what you have – and the graves could say things like occupied or vacant which would imply that there are tenants in the graves or available spaces in the graves for people to rent. You could even have skeletons or skeleton hands sticking out in front of the graves to show the occupied tenants if you want.

Fallout Halloween

Theme based on the video game series Fallout and the halloween aspects of that video game series

* Radiation green slime on the walls – like ectoplasm, but saying that it’s something like radiation gunk.

* Ghouls in the yard/house – homemade with paper mache/clay might be more affordable (could even use any plastic skeletons you have or plastic skeleton heads or hands, and make them look like ghouls with the paper mache/clay, or maybe even just get a ghoul looking mask for the skeleton).

* Could go with a theme within this theme such as The Institute Halloween – which would be more clean and organized overall with simple Halloween decorations – or The Wasteland Halloween – which would be like the towns with fabric around the room, and everything not so organized in a less clean way. You could also go the monster route, and decorate your space with inspiration from the monsters from the game.

* You can get creative with the food such as Mirelurk Eggs which could be deviled eggs – with food coloring on the shell before you break it so that the color seeps into the egg whites.

These are just a couple of ideas, and if any more come to mind, I’ll update this list. If you have any ideas that you want me to add to, comment those ideas in the comment section!

Hope you all have a ghoul-tastic day!
